Revolution Shot w/HandWith over 1,000 developer kits in the hands of game developers, Nintendo has begun spreading the knowledge of their upcoming console far and wide. In a recent interview with Game Informer magazine George Harrison, Nintendo's VP of Marketing spoke about how the focus on developers will be much different for the 'Revolution' than it was for the GameCube.

"One of the lessons we tried to learn from GameCube was that we kept things too close. And so as we got ready to launch, we had some of our own great games but third parties were kind of behind the eight ball in terms of being able to have games ready."

Giving early access to the development kits has been a priority for Nintendo this time around. Many people are hopeful that the 'Revolution' will turn Nintendo around in the eyes of older gamers, and allowing other groups to make games for the system can be a good starting point. By giving developers access early, this may allow a wide variety of launch titles, and even playable games at E3 this year.

With everyone in the gaming industry trying to stay tight-lipped for another two weeks until E3 begins, this may be some of the last news about the 'Revolution' that can be confirmed before May 9th.
